This Milo Supreme radio horn speaker was made by the Milo Manufacturing Company in Newark New Jersry in 1925 and is in excellant condition. I bought this speaker in New York at the Antique Wireless Associatio Radio meet some 30 years ago and have never seen another for sale or on display. It is approximately 21.25″ high, 9.75″ wide, and 7.25 deep. The bell is 9.75 wide. Very few celloloid speakers have survived in this condition and the Milo is an extremely rare find especially in this condition. It has been the crown Jewel of my speaker collection. I have some very scarce radio items on this week. This is a very hard to find Milo-Supreme Loud Speaker horn which came on the market in mid 1924. This was distributed by the Great American Radio Company of New York City and was available in four striking colors. This one has never been doctored up but please be aware that the driver is pot metal and has the usual associated problems. I cant achieve continuity with a meter so either the cord or the driver is open. The speaker itself displays very well. The decal is damaged some but I will include a good decal photo on a floppy so as to enable making of an exact replacement. If it doesnt sell here I expect to bring it to Kutztown next month.
