Offered is a beautiful Art Deco compact Sonora “Sonorette” model 50 in a marbleized brown Bakelite. A Sonora manufactured in France in the 1940′s. Apparently copied from the American cars of that period. The radio is in original, untouched condition, with beautiful and natural gloss. The cabinet is free of any cracks, chips , burns or repairs. Radio retains the original matching molded full Bakelite back in perfect condition. Original Tenite knobs and the cardboard bottom panel, mirrored dial scale. The wonderful compact sized radio measures approximately 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 5 1/2. I have plugged it in and it lights up tubes and dial scale light, but I just get a static from turning the dial.
