The radio is a rare Erla radio from 1939 21.5″ long 9 7/8″ deep an 11.5 high. Loud humming when plugging in. I’ll find a price in between on this one. Has a Jensen speaker. The dip in the trim is supposed to be there because of the knob is low. Radio looks to have all its tubes. You’ll have to sign for the radio when it arrives and it will be fully insured.

The Rare Confetti Bakelite Vintage 1941 Admiral Aeroscope Tube Radio is a unique and collectible piece of history. Made in the United States by Admiral, this radio showcases the intricate design and craftsmanship of the era. With its retro Bakelite material and confetti-like decorations, this radio is sure to be a standout addition to any vintage collection. This item was brought up using a Variac to help preserve the capacitors & tubes after it was sitting safely in storage. This Admiral works great, powers on, lights up & is able to play and receive stations. It could use a little deoxit & a professional restoration but physically is in excellent shape. Virtually no scratches or scrapes on the chassis and looks like it just came out of the showroom yesterday.

(mid 40′s) Manufactured by Air King Products Co. 1523-63rd street Brooklyn, New York This radio was one of my father’s collectibles. He had a radio/tv shop in the 40-60′s. It has not been plugged in for 30 years. It picks up stations but has a hum (probably a transformer or capacitor hum) from sitting idle for so long. I never learned how to repair radios. The cabinet is in very good shape and the tuning dial works.

On the right side on the curved parts are some mild to medium humps and bumps from possible warping and one crack in the wood, didnt feel it form the inside of the radio the warping. Some of the cloth is off of the cord and the cardboard insert of the plug, didn’t see any bare wires though. The front cloth is in great shape. Some wear to the felt circles on the bottom of the radio. Some cracking in the wood on the bottom. The radio got a clear station, one other wanted to come in but think it needs a antenna. At first I plugged it in and waited for 5 minutrs, got alot of screeching then got a clear channel on #40. After I played it for 20 minutes, I went back to the station and it came in every time.

Here is a fabulous example of Arvin’s little 4 tube wonder the model 422. This is a must for your display. Working and dent free. What a gift for Christmas!
