Here is a WORKING 1947 Westinghouse tube “Refrigerator Radio” that was given as a bonus when you bought a Westinghouse refrigerator. This original art deco radio has a folding handle which makes it portable. This is truly an iconic radio from the golden era of tube radios. Its very unique case has remained in very good condition Please see pictures provided. 1947 Westinghouse radio model H-126. Known as “The Refrigerator”. Iconic radio from the golden era of tube radios. Case is in great condition with only some small paint chipping, scratches and missing pieces of paint. All brass intact other than a dent in top right corner some scratches and tarnishing. Complete unit was cleaned and reassembled. New period correct “power cord” was soldered in place for many more years of service. The burlap speaker cover has great color and is in tact. Bakelite/brass shell is in Great, for the age, shape with possible light surface scratches, spots, nicks, age ware etc. NO cracks, brakes, chips or any other significant damage were detected. It displays very well. Seems like both knobs are present and turn freelly. Electrical cord is in good shape. M not an expert in old radios, but seems like everything, that present, is original and it seems to be completed. Vintage Westinghouse H-125 Tube Radio. Turquoise color – greenish / bluish. Radio is fully functional. Station wheel-dial is a little twisted or warped. It turns, but you need to push it back a bit to get it over a “hump” and continue to rotate. The signal is fuzzy, but the DJ is understandable. The carrying handle was detached when we got the old-time radio at an estate sale, from a collector of old radios, in rural central Kansas. We put the handle back in, and it seems to be okay now, but caution advised when carrying it by the handle, lest it come loose and plummet… Cosmetically, it good condition.
