- This is clean and is in great working condition. This has been recently serviced with a recap (capacitors replaced) by an older experienced radio technician. I wish I knew half of what he knows as it would come in handy for my vintage tube guitar amps. I believe the power cord may have been replaced. The brass plate is in very good condition – the top view does not have that dark area on the left. It was hard to get a better photo using my marginal lighting conditions. The cabinet has some light scratches which I didn’t try to wipe it down with tinted cleaner. I’ll leave anything like that to the next owner who might want to keep as is. I assume that the finish is original but I’m no expert. To me, this is an Eames design and has great styling. The dial face cover is warped. As you can see, the four rubber feet have deteriorated. The volume pot is a little scratchy when going through the volume range; it clears up nicely when needed by just tweaking the knob slightly. It sounds good and gets loud. The red on light works fine and is quite bright, really enhances the appearance. The two nice concentric control dials for tuning and on/off volume controls work well. I think that you will like this radio. Please look at all of the photos carefully and ask any questions you may have.
