(all original parts)in mechanical working order. Unit is coming from a used environment with some wear and tear from use overtime. Radio powers on and all tubes work. They all light up and get warm (including fully functioning magic eye tube). FM reception is working as are both the tape inputs and ouputs, along with the aux speaker output. All 3 speakers are tested and working no issues. Have played all 3 at full volume with full clarity. I could not pull in on any of these and it seems to be a common with these. Cosmetically it’s in pretty nice shape I’ve highlighted all of the flaws. Out of the box this will pull in fm and work perfectly and also allow you to hook up an auxiliary source (including bluetooth) with the proper adapters and an auxiliary speaker should you want to. It’s a real gem. I don’t have time to diagnose the issues with the other frequency bands.

Powers on and produces sound but does not tune to stations – likely needs capacitors. Radio is a very cool piece of MCM history. Was made by Motorola in 1957 in Chicago. The antenna is inside the radio. There is a small spot on the top of the radio where the plastic has oxidized, shown in photos. This radio is listed for repair. Someone with more technical knowledge-how than me can definitely get this working correctly again.

This vintage FADA 845 Cloud radio is a great find for collectors. Made in the United States, it features a nice vintage display radio. The description is accurate and the pictures are clear. This was my grandfather’s radio. I cleaned the interior, replaced the light bulbs and replaced the power chord (since power chords deteriorate over time and could be a safety issue). We are the owners of this rare find. TWO SHORT WIRES HANGING OUT OF CASE BACK AT BOTTOM I THINK WAS FOR A ANTENNA, I WOULD THINK IT SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND CHECKED OUT!!! CASE DISPLAYS VERY NICE!!!
