NOS SYLVANIA 2N95 GERMANIUM POWER TRANSISTOR Collectors Tube Radio. Condition is New in Box!! The Sylvania 2N68 and 2N95 were some of the first germanium power transistors available commercially, beginning in 1955. These were made with an integral finned heatsink to allow increased power output. Sylvania supplied both PNP (2N68) and NPN (2N95) transistors with similar characteristics, and this allowed substantial flexibility in circuit design, especially for audio circuits that did not require expensive or bulky transformers. The characteristics and suggested circuits for these transistors is well documented in the 1955 Sylvania booklet ” 28 Uses for Junction Transistors”. The Sylvania type 2N101 (supplied without a finned heatsink) is equivalent to the 2N68, and the 2N102 is equivalent to the 2N95.

Thank you for looking at this. Vintage old tube or radio? I’ve been collecting radios for a while and I’ve never seen this radio before. So to me this is pretty rare. Maybe you’ve seen it? I don’t know. It’s pretty cool though. It’s going to need a rebuild. Definitely going to need repair. Doesn’t look like I have a power cord for it. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to power up. Looks like it has all the tubes and all the components that go with it. Like I said it’s very cool.
