Early 1960s beautiful Nordmende Elektra tube radio. Includes UKW (FM), Longwave, Medium Wave, and Shortwave. In a very good condition except a small crack in the left side. I’m currently operating the radio on 220V using a power adapter, but there’s a note on the back indicating it can also be operated on 110V, though I haven’t tested that. Offered here is a vintage Nordmende / Sterling “Kadett 57 USA” tube radio, a high-quality mid-century European-designed set built for the U. It powers up and functions, but will benefit from routine service expected for vintage tube equipment of this age. Powers up smoothly on a Variac to 110 VAC. Voltage selector allows adjustment to 120 VAC and other voltages (see photos). Radio tunes across bands. Noticeable hum is present and changes with bass and treble controls. This is consistent with aging electrolytic capacitors. No major faults or catastrophic issues detected. ? Condition & Service Disclosure. Electrolytic capacitors likely need replacement for optimal performance. Original power cord is removable. One prong piece is loose/not attached. The loose piece will be bagged and included so it is not lost. Cabinet shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with age. Internal components appear original and unmodified. This unit is in very good condition for its age showing little wear! There are some slightly dirty / dusty areas, and also some small scuffs, scratches, and marks in a few places. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. Run it as the Radio or amplifier with two input, I tested the amplifier function all working good and sound very good. For radio i test some of channel have good sound. All tubes come with it are good. Cosmetic condition is ok around 7/10. Tubes testing good at 80 to 140. All tubes were tested on tube tester EICO 667. No gas leaks or shorts. Tuning Bands: FM, MW, LW, SW. FM Tuning Range: 86.7 to 104 MHz. MW Tuning Range: 515 to 1650 kHz. LW Tuning Range: 140 to 360 kHz. SW Tuning Range: 5.9 to 18.5 MHz. Output: 2 x 8.5W.
