King I believe went out of buisness in 1930 so it was made pre 1930. I saw this radio on Worthpoint and they said it was licensed under RCA. Dont know the model of this radio and they didnt either. Nice smaller sized cathedral tube radio. The lighted dial works. Got one clear station then it goes away and doesnt stay there, knob volume crates static when turning. For part or repair probably as the station doesnt stay on when you get it. Personal number is 592.

(mid 40′s) Manufactured by Air King Products Co. 1523-63rd street Brooklyn, New York This radio was one of my father’s collectibles. He had a radio/tv shop in the 40-60′s. It has not been plugged in for 30 years. It picks up stations but has a hum (probably a transformer or capacitor hum) from sitting idle for so long. I never learned how to repair radios. The cabinet is in very good shape and the tuning dial works.

THIS IS AN INTERESTING AND HARD TO FIND TUBE RADIO! This listing is for a rare AIR KING…. 1946 or so TUBE RADIO. Condition: The bakelite body has no dent, cracks, or dings. Scuffs and signs of age only. It will need an internal cleaning if wanted. There are spots for two tubes which are no longer on the radio. The top strap is still good as well as both lock latches. 6″ tall x 4″ wide. These radios are highly collectable and are getting harder to find online. It will be protected well and insured. Vtg and rare Late 1930s Air King Premier Wood Deco 4 Tube Radio. Beautiful art deco style wood radio is highlighted by brass name badge, original deco grill, dial pointer and cloth and dial cover are original. The two knobs have been replaced with era appropriate black chicken heads and look great-both work well. The wood case has been cleaned and lightly polished and age appropriate patina is present. 10 x 6 x 7.25. Specific work that has been done includes. Test and replace all defective vacuum tubes. Replace all electrolytic and film capacitors with modern equivalents. Test and replace all out of tolerance resistors. Clean and lubricate all appropriate internal components. Tune IF cans for maximum volume output.
