Hallicrafters HT-44 Vintage Ham Radio Tube Transmitter for Parts or Restoration. This radio is in good condition for its age but does show some wear such as scuffs, scratches, marks, and areas of dirt (mainly on the chassis). Aside from that, the radio still looks pretty nice overall. We are including a “linear relay” cable with the radio. Unfortunately it is not working right so we must sell it AS-IS for parts or restoration. Please read our technician’s notes below. This item has been tested by our technician, a ham radio operator of more than 55 years. Here’s what he had to say: Tested the on both CW and SSB. The drive power is erratic and sometimes does not work at all. There is also no power output from the transmitter. Both the “Final Tuning” and “Driver Tuning” control shafts slipping and need adjustment. This could be the cause of the erratic power issues. We do not have a funcitoning PS-150 power supply in the shop, so we are unable to power on or test. We have made no attempt to power-on this unit or test in any way. Unless you are capable of working on this unit yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
