Vintage RCA Model MI-13174 Coin Operated Tube Radio Motel Hotel Rare – WORKS. This item is in used working condition. There are signs of wear and discoloration throughout due to use and aging. This item has been tested and works as it should. The previous owner took out all the hardware for the coin operation so it is missing all of that. There is scratching/scuffing throughout the item. There is discoloration/wear throughout. The item has damage/wear throughout (as shown in the photos). All the coin operation hardware is not in the item. The station dial is cracked. The antenna may need to be replaced as the one the item has the insulation is broken off. The previous owner drilled a screw into the back of the item. There is surface rust/corrosion throughout the hardware and inside of the item. There is paint worn/scratched off throughout. The dial light will need to be replaced soon. I was so excited to come across this. First one, out of all my years of antiquing and going to estate auctions that I’ve ever come across. It looks to be in all original, used, vintage/antique condition showing use, wear, surface wear, discolorations, scratches, color wear, age related wear etc. Hopefully the photos will speak for the description and condition. Radio Corporation of America. In small fine print on the corner of the label 46015-1. I was told it is a hotel/motel radio. I’m not sure if this one was attached to a motel/hotel wall or more permanent surface and maybe the back taken off? And there’s no way for me to test. But I would assume it needs restoration or some kind of repairs. The outer case is some type of metal or mixed metal material. I love the character and history of it. It still has what looks to be the original piece on top that says 25 cents for 2 full hours and the original coin slot. Please refer to photos of this. Pictures taken of all sides/angles, including top, bottom, close-ups etc. It measures approximately 16 1/2 inches across. Approximately 9 1/2 inches tall. Front to back, approximately 10 inches excluding the knobs that come out more on the front. The scale shows it weighing 16 pounds. Again, thanks for your interest and looking. This is one of those items that I don’t know if I will ever come across again. The original labels still look to be there.
