This is the gem of Canadian radios a fully restored, bakelite Addison model R5A1 complete with Deco waterfall front, manufactured in 1947/8. It is just a very attractive radio and of course super collectable. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy the sound is very good with no hum. This radio likes to play Etta James. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the capacitors have been replaced and the cord has been replaced with an utilizes a polarized plug. This radio was originally painted white when I stripped it and found a pristine a peanut butter coloured cabinet. It has a small pink dot on the top the resulted when the cabinet was manufactured. No other marks, scrapes or scratches. Except for the changed electronics and paint, this radio is all original it even has its original antenna wire with holder. Its astounding to find one in this wonderful condition that why it was in my personal collection. It features deco styling, three pinwheel knobs, logos still present on the bottom and the original dial is still very clear. It measures: 10 across, 5 wide and 5.75 high.
