Thank you for looking at this. Vintage old tube or radio? I’ve been collecting radios for a while and I’ve never seen this radio before. So to me this is pretty rare. Maybe you’ve seen it? I don’t know. It’s pretty cool though. It’s going to need a rebuild. Definitely going to need repair. Doesn’t look like I have a power cord for it. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to power up. Looks like it has all the tubes and all the components that go with it. Like I said it’s very cool.

This is a beautiful piece of Heathkit equipment. The cabinet and faceplate still have their original paint, and since these have been tucked away for so long, there is practically no discoloration. They’ve maintained that unique “Heathkit green” color. Likewise, there are no chips, flakes, dings, dents, or other flaws in the finish. From what we can tell, it’s all original and unmodified. The band switch is a little stiff, but the rest of the controls feel good. This will make a collector quality piece once it receives whatever electrical attention it may need! This is a micamold xtr-1. The unit itself looks to be in remarkable condition for it’s age. The box measures 11-1/16″ x 5-1/4″ x 4 tall, not counting the tube, and gear on the top of the box. The only evident wear, other than a few surface scratches to the paint, is that the power plug wire is brittle, and will need replacing to operate this unit safely.
