Production of these radios started prior WWII on request Dr. Goebbels (minister of propaganda), so that every German could listen to official broadcasts of his propaganda and Hitler speeches. These radios were build and cost very cheap, so that every German household could own one. This radio was repaired in Germany in 1980′s. The electrolytic capacitors in power supply were replaced. Unfortunately the VCL11 – the main tube got very weak and radio stop working. I have schematic and after troubleshoot this unit I can confirm that the VCL11 tube is bad.
