Vintage Grebe Radio CR9. Dirty and needs a good cleaning. See pics – the case has some slight dings and a flaked spot on the top. None of the tubes are loose in their bases. There may be some items that are missing pieces or have been restored / modified such that an expert would notice it, but it escapes my scrutiny based on my limited knowledge. These came from my Dad, a long-time train collector, vintage radio collector, and amateur radio operator (since the 1950s). If I mis-describe anything, please bear with me and let me know. It was manufactured by Grebe Radio in Richmond Hill, New York in the early 1920′s. It is in spectacular condition with unusually clean original interior wiring and near mint original finish cabinet and front panel. No scratches, cracks, chips, warping, missing or added parts. Please see all the pictures of the actual radio for views. It is very unusual to find any Grebe receiver in this condition. This is one of the nicest CR-9 or CR-8 I have ever seen in 45 years as a collector, and I have seen dozens. I have never tried to make it work, but the circuit looks very clean, unmolested, and all original.
