This Art deco radio from Bendix Aviation Corporation is a gorgeous piece of history. The brown bakelite exterior exudes a sense of nostalgia, while the radio’s functionality remains intact. This is an awesome radio in working condition. Please review the pictures for cosmetic condition. The paint on the inside of the dial face looks like it has peeled a little. I have not attempted to clean the radio at all so as not to accidentally damage it. But otherwise very clean & great condition. The power cord very dry, brittle and crumble. The radio started works after 10-15 seconds. The lamps should warm up.

Vintage 526 Model Bendix Radio, Made in USA, Aviation Corporation. There are no major dings or scratches. Some discoloration on the bottom left knob on front of radio. There is one small deeper scratch on the top of the piece. There are some scuff marks and surface scratches across the entire piece. On the left side of the radio there is a bit of a yellowish discoloration. We did not attempt to deeply clean this piece. Says, “Bendix – Aviation Corporation” and. The antenna is present, but the masonite back is missing. We found no cracks, or damage. The color is a brownish green. The radio powers up, and you can tune in stations, but there is a hum. Also, the channel guide does not indicate the station, we assume the string is broken. Measurements: 11 Inches by 6 1/2 Inches by 6 1/4 Inches. For sale is a beautiful original The Fisher 80-R tuner in excellent working condition. I have tested this unit, it is working, but it will need an external antenna to work properly and I’d recommend servicing it if you plan to use it regularly. This may be the meter or a part inside of the unit. All tubes appear to be original. The dials on these old units are beautiful in the dark.
