These were made with an integral finned heatsink to allow increased power output. Sylvania supplied both PNP (2N68) and NPN (2N95) transistors with similar characteristics, and this allowed substantial flexibility in circuit design, especially for audio circuits that did not require expensive or bulky transformers. The characteristics and suggested circuits for these transistors is well documented in the 1955 Sylvania booklet ” 28 Uses for Junction Transistors”. The Sylvania type 2N101 (supplied without a finned heatsink) is equivalent to the 2N68, and the 2N102 is equivalent to the 2N95.

Tube radio is in great working condition with great cosmetics! White wooden frame has some scuffs but add to the uniqueness.

1939 Arvin radio model 602/603 chassis model 58. Distinctive arch top makes it unique & coveted by collectors. The glossy mottled brown/black Bakelite will need a polish. There are some minor surface scratches still that are apparent at certain camera angles – it’s old : it’s beautiful and it works. I have sanded and polished off the oxidation 98% restored to its original Bakelite beautiful color. The Arvin (silver) logo on top which is like a silk screen on a tube did not make it through the polishing. The speaker is impressive for the age and gets pretty loud. The original lighted dial scale, pointer and amber tinted dial cover are in great condition as well. Comes with original hard board back in vintage condition. As well as the schematic. An eye catching centerpiece for any collection or decor! 11″W x 8″H x 6D. This is a vintage radio! It will be packed with utmost care.

1939 Philco Tombstone Battery Plug Vintage Radio Stereo 39-80 Collectors Audio. 1939 Philco Tombstone Radio Model 39-80! This is a beautiful piece. The wood needs redone; it has water damage on the top. Has original cloth, which is a bit stained, and it is missing a knob, but it has the cover over the dial and the surround and it really is just a beauty. I cannot, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, figure out how the heck to turn it on. I cant even tell if its broken or not because it confuses me so thoroughly. There are 3 plugs that I do not know what they plug into and it says it is battery powered but it also has a plug… Hopefully you will know how to make it cooperate.
