This vintage FADA 845 Cloud radio is a great find for collectors. Made in the United States, it features a nice vintage display radio. The description is accurate and the pictures are clear. This was my grandfather’s radio. I cleaned the interior, replaced the light bulbs and replaced the power chord (since power chords deteriorate over time and could be a safety issue). We are the owners of this rare find. BOTTOM HAS SOME MARKS SEE PICTURES PLEASE!!! AFTER A LITTLE WARMING UP WHEN TURNED ON SOUND CAME ON I PICKED UP A FEW CHANNELS CAN TELL OLDER SPEAKER BUT WAS VERY COOL TO LISTEN TO. TWO SHORT WIRES HANGING OUT OF CASE BACK AT BOTTOM I THINK WAS FOR A ANTENNA, I WOULD THINK IT SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND CHECKED OUT!!! CASE DISPLAYS VERY NICE!!! PLENTY OF PICTURES INCLUDED..

1940s Fada “Cloud” radio. No cracks, chips, or hairlines. There are two or three tiny rough spots (difficult to photograph or see with the eye) that can be felt under the finger near the top of the radio above its dial (see the last photograph). This radio DOES power up. It produces static, but I could not tune in any radio stations. ONE knob is MISSING. The cosmetic condition shows some scratching and light overall wear, but no visible cracks or breaks. NOTE: This is an estate piece and will most likely need to be serviced. In overall good or better condition. Case is a nice swirly off white with no apparent damage. There is a small scratch on the back at the top left. Looks to have been serviced at some point by a shop in Virginia. Does power own and tune in stations. It took a few seconds to warm up and there was a slight hum on a few stations we tuned. Overall the sound was quite clear. The bulb for the dial does light, but is a bit faint. Shelf N/012122 – XO. This radio has been refurbished with some tubes and caps and does work. Knobs are not original to the radio but functional. This radio displays very well but has some imperfection as expected that are shown in the pictures. Specifically there is damage to the dial scale. Small hole and a deep scratch. The handle was shown in the up position to let you see that it has damage that has been somewhat repaired. It is not visible when sitting on a shelf. Still a very pretty radio but wanted to clarify issues that were shown in the pictures. I want everyone to be happy! Mark Bergin Toys LTD. VINTAGE MINTY FADA CLOUD 845 BAKELITE CATALIN TUBE RADIO MARBELIZED PEARL SWIRL. This radio features a beautiful pearl color with contrasting bright red original handle – face has original knobs and large dial face. The front reads “KILOCYCLES FADA METERS” and the back reads “FADA RADIO MODEL 845 UNIVERSAL SUPERHETERODYNE 117 VOLTS POWER RATING 30 WATTS” with original stickers on back. The body has NO chips or breaks with some rubs from light use and storage. This vintage radio was test on 7/25/2015 and turns on – when plugged in and switched on there are two lights behind the Bakelite at the 140 & 250 positions on the dial. 10 ½ (left to right). 5 ½ (front to back). 6 ½ (ground to top).
