Vintage 1950 Arvin Model 740T Tube Radio – Working & Recently Serviced. This vintage Arvin Model 740T is exactly the kind of small tabletop tube radio that makes mid-century collectors stop scrolling. It has the rounded metal cabinet, warm ivory finish, oversized dial, woven grille cloth, and simple two-knob layout that give these little Arvins such a great Atomic Age / early MCM look. Desirable ivory / cream painted metal case with original-style finish and warm aged patina. Large right-side tuning dial with raised station numbers. Smaller left-side volume/on-off knob. Attractive woven diamond-pattern grille cloth. Original Arvin front badge/emblem present. Bottom retains a partial original factory identification label. Back panel is present and marked “ARVIN 740T”. Includes printed service/alignment information sheet shown in photos. Great display piece for radio collectors, MCM décor, vintage electronics displays, studios, offices, shelves, or period room styling. ? Radio works well and has been recently serviced. ? Cabinet presents nicely overall with original paint/finish still showing good vintage character. ? Metal case has typical age-related scuffs, small chips, finish marks, and surface wear. ? Front grille cloth looks attractive with normal age toning. ? Knobs are present and have honest age-related discoloration/wear. ? Partial original bottom ID tag remains visible but is worn, aged, and incomplete. ? Back panel is present, though it shows wear, edge roughness, handwritten model marking, and a lower corner chip/damage near the cord area. ? Photos show the exact radio included. Early 1960s beautiful Nordmende Elektra tube radio. Includes UKW (FM), Longwave, Medium Wave, and Shortwave. In a very good condition except a small crack in the left side. I’m currently operating the radio on 220V using a power adapter, but there’s a note on the back indicating it can also be operated on 110V, though I haven’t tested that.
