IN THIS LISTING you’re purchasing the A-K shown in the photos. This was literally pulled from the attic of a friend’s grandmother’s home where it had been since the 40′s. All we did was clean the dust off of it with a damp cloth. Some discoloration on the rear coils. The dials turn cleanly and smoothly. One of the four rear brass wire hold-down knobs is missing. We pulled the tubes and the sockets are clean. The tubes are solid with no loose glass. We have zero idea how to test this! The breadboard can obviously use some oil. You are purchasing a very nice vintage radio. Vintage (1923) Atwater Kent 10A Breadboard Tube Radio Receiver. You will receive what is pictured. This is from a friend of mine who’s father passed away and was an avid collector of vintage audio. Unfortunately she was not able to identify if this was in working condition. It seems to be in a nice clean condition. The breadboard is in great shape with no cracks, wires seem all in place, missing one antenna cap. Tubes are not checked nor will I try to power on or test this for I do not have suitable knowledge on this vintage piece. I’ll leave this to the collectors and the experts. I will pack this professionally by double boxing and lots of foam cushion all around. Tubes will be removed and packaged separately. Bottom wiring will be packed carefully so it does not get damaged. The radio is from the Frankfort, IN area. I do not have the proper equipment to test this radio nor have the tubes been tested. I believe it to be 100% original. All of the various dials and switches seem to work as they should. It is superbly clean obviously well taken care of over the years. The mahogany wood base still has its original finish that is in very nice condition. There are a few minor scrapes/scratches like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the components look fabulous. The underside wiring looks nice. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. Up for sale is a AC Dayton model XL-25 tube radio. Radio is a great base for restoration. Original inspection sticker 12/7/26, very cool. The case is solid(original finish), has some scratches and veneer chip on the right top in the corner, still displays very well. The wood scrollwork on the edges need to be glued back on properly. It is untested I have no idea how to power it up, assume it will need work on the electronics to make it functional. I would consider it a restoration project that should be restored by someone who knows how to restore old radios properly. It is missing one knob and the little brass sleeve behind the knob. The volume knob has a small chip. I have described to the best of my ability. I will pack it well. Please see my other auctions for more rare antique radios from the same collection.
