Radio powers on and all tubes work. They all light up and get warm (including fully functioning magic eye tube). FM reception is working as are both the tape inputs and ouputs, along with the aux speaker output. All 3 speakers are tested and working no issues. Have played all 3 at full volume with full clarity. I could not pull in on any of these and it seems to be a common with these. Cosmetically it’s in pretty nice shape I’ve highlighted all of the flaws. Out of the box this will pull in fm and work perfectly and also allow you to hook up an auxiliary source (including bluetooth) with the proper adapters and an auxiliary speaker should you want to. It’s a real gem. I don’t have time to diagnose the issues with the other frequency bands.

1940′s Nocturne Blaupunkt W846E Antique Tube Radio German. Measures roughly 22 long x 12 height x 9.5 depth. I have not tested or even plugged in it. Knobs are slightly difficult to turn. Relatively good condition considering it’s over 80 years old. Make me an offer, I don’t know what these are worth.

Works–See photos–Using a newer cord, but still have connector from original cord. There are a few chips/dent on the wood. The wood top also has some age separation (cracks) of the veneer. This radio has been fully tested and is in excellent working order. The internal tubes (valves) provide that legendary, rich and warm sound characteristic of classic German Hi-Fi. All knobs and push buttons function smoothly, controlling power, volume, tuning, and tone selection. This unit is ready for immediate use.

A top of the line Blaupunkt. Five speakers and three bands. Speakers are a 7×10 woofer, two 5×7 midrange and two electrostatic tweeters. Appears that someone has replaced the on off switch to the front of unit – unsure why?? Could be it no longer worked in the panel of buttons. Tone controls are hi-fi, solo, sonor, bass and treble. Speaker cloth and back are excellent. Cabinet is in very nice condition with a couple of nicks and some minor varnish loss that is hard to see. Cabinet size is a very large 24″W x 15″H x 10D. Cool older radio for display or use!
