The radio is housed in a textured black portable cabinet with carry handle and front latch-style door. Included with this radio is the original Zenith instruction manual, a scarce and highly desirable companion piece that significantly enhances collectability. This radio comes from a large private estate of a meticulous original owner with a long-term interest in radio equipment. Items from this estate were stored indoors, kept together with their accessories when possible, and preserved as part of a carefully maintained collection. The radio remains unrestored and unmodified, offered exactly as found. Untested (no power applied). Cabinet shows surface dust, dirt, scuffs, and age-related wear. Carry handle intact. Front door/lid present with latch. Dial glass intact with visible aging and haze. Both control knobs present. Internal components visible; no servicing attempted. Original instruction manual included. Manual shows heavy wear, creasing, and age, but remains intact and legible. This is a collector-grade project radio. Expect cleaning and servicing if functionality is desired. Radio secured to prevent internal movement. Instruction manual will be packed separately in protective sleeve. VINTAGE BLACK DIAL ZENITH 5 F-134 ART DECO TOMBSTONE RADIO 1937. I have not tested this radio- it has not been plugged in for at least 4 to 5 years and I have been told it’s not good to plug in a radio that has not been plugged in for a while.

Too good to be true, because it’s in such great condition, but this truly is a genuine authentic vintage Mid-Century radio! Black and Gold Bakelite.
