Up for sale is my 1930s Packard Bell Model 35A. I recapped this set a few years ago, it works fine and has just been collecting dust on my shelf, so I really need to find it a new home. If you have any questions, feel free to ask or send an offer! I can send pictures of my work from under the chassis if requested. I’ll also bench test the set for a few hours prior to mailing it. I’ll pack the radio well, I want it to arrive intact to its new home.

Vintage Jackson Bell Peter Pan Cathedral Tube Radio for Parts or Repair. Measures 8 3/4″ L x 12″ H x 7 W. The radio is untested. The case looks to be in decent condition. Peter Pan’s horn is broken off as shown. The drawer is missing as shown. The wood has some scuffing and marks from age and use. The tubes look to be in decent shape as shown. The cord is in rough shape and the plug is bent and damaged. Please refer to photos for complete condition.

Vintage 1938 Packard Bell 100A Hi-Lo Radio Pair Deco Tube Project. Vintage 1938 Packard Bell Model 100A “Hi-Lo” radios – a matched pair of classic West Coast Deco sets with that unmistakable green dial and sculpted louver front. Manufactured in Los Angeles, these compact AC/DC sets were designed for strong reception in urban environments and are a favorite among collectors for their clean Art Deco styling and Plaskon cabinets. Both sets retain their original tube lineups (12SA7, 12SK7, 12SQ7, 50L6, 35Z5 configuration typical for the model) and appear largely untouched internally – exactly what restorers want to see. These radios hum when powered on, indicating transformers and filament strings are active, but no stations are currently received. They will require servicing and recapping before reliable use. A rewarding restoration project with solid upside. Model 100A “Hi-Lo” – Packard-Bell, Los Angeles, CA. Classic late-1930s Art Deco cabinet design. Original green dial with regional station markings. Original tube lineup present. Both power on and hum. ? Both units power on and produce hum, but no reception. ? Likely require capacitor replacement and full service. ? One cabinet has a crack on top (see photos). ? Cabinets otherwise present well with age-appropriate wear. ? Original backs and cords present. ? Interiors appear largely untouched / unrestored. Up for sale is an early 50′s Packard Bell 602 Tube Radio. I recapped and aligned this set some years back. I think I also had to replace the speaker. I tested the set and it is indeed working as it should, although the volume control is a bit scratchy so it likely needs some cleaner. I’m just getting rid of this guy as I have too many sets that are just sitting around. It’s time for him to go to a new home. The cabinet could be in a little better shape, some scuffs and scratches, but if you know how to refinish them then this should be a fun one. The knobs have some white stuff on them, not sure what it is, but it’s due to the type of plastic used, I cleaned them a while ago but it just came back, so they’ll need to be cleaned again. Oh, the Packard Bell emblem is also missing the letters’ell’. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I’m open to offers too, so don’t hesitate to send one.
