Great candidate for parts or restoration- case is in great shape with no cracks, one small chip on the left center rear of case (see photos) some scratches, scuffs, and wear & tear may be present to radio. Tuner knob and needle move smoothly and it appears all other knobs feel as they work as they should. Broadcast Receiver – or past WW2 Tuner. Superheterodyne (common); ZF/IF 452 kHz. Broadcast, Long Wave and Short Wave. Power type and voltage. Alternating Current supply (AC) / 110; 125; 145; 200; 220; 245 Volt. Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil). Here you are looking to a very rare Stereo Tube power amp with separated Stereo tube pre-amp made by CARAD. CARAD is a Belgium manufactor that made during the 1950′and 1960′s a lot of radios, taperecorders, tuners and amplifiers. This Stereo Tube Amplifier set is made in the 1960′s and is in a great condition. In perfect working condition, still with the original capasitors, because the use the famous beige Mullard-Philips capasitors who never leak! These amps are still handmade and use the piont to point soldering. Lot of controls , Bass and Treble are separated for each channel. This set is in a good used condition, and this is quit difficult to find. I had them play for severall hours, and there are sounding great. All tubes tested , ok! Pre-amp has 4 x ECC 83 (12AX7). Lot of connections on the back , with the typical europeen DIN connectors, but I deliver a DIN versus RCA (cinch) connectors and adaptor cables, power cable , etc… The poweramp has 2 x ECC 83 + 4 x EL 84. These amp’s works on 110, 220 and 240 volts. Commes with a copy of the schematic’s. Very strange circuit, the output transformers are connected in the Cathode circuit of the tube and NOT as usual in the anode circuit.
