Also has the original leather handle also brittle and is not attached to main unit. Face plate looks great. Well taken care of. Getting this put together and made fully functional is beyond our capability and capacity. With the right knowledge could probably work again. A great addition to any radio collection! Vintage RCA Radiola II AR-800 Battery Operated Radio that is in excellent condition for its age. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. Unfortunately, the leather strap is broken, but with some work, I think it can be repaired. The 2 Radiotron UV-199 short pin tubes are present (untested) and interior is very clean. Given the simplicity of these early battery operated radios, it should not take much to get it up and running. All of the knobs/dials are in good shape with no chips and all turn smoothly and properly. I acquired a set of period headphones that I have added to the radio. Head phones are Trimm Dependable and the cloth cord is in excellent condition. I do not know if the headphones work. Great early radio to add to your collection.
