Inherited as part of an estate. Other than testing that it works we are not vintage radio experts and do not know if any modifications have been made. We believe from our research it is a 628B, but the model is not on the label. The label does list the chassis number as 628. If you have any questions please let us know. This is a STUNNING example of the heavy duty built Crosley model 628-B with broadcast and shortwave. Chassis has been completely rebuilt (see underside of chassis) with all new capacitors, new power cord, fresh tubes and even added a RCA plug on separate pigtail for playing your digital audio sources through the radio. The bakelite case is flawless with no chips or cracks and exhibits a nice shine overall. This radio will not disappoint with it’s great sound and selectivity.
