So this came in from a collector who bought radios for their cabinets, did not care if they worked, but he always wanted no cracks and cabinets in good shape. This radio has no cracks, and cabinet in very nice shape. I plugged it in and I thought for sure I had FM, nice and clear. Went back to FM and it was gone, played with it a few minutes and found FM again, but only a few stations, the strong ones. I noticed the controls all need cleaned internally, have that scratchy noise… So the radio works, somewhat, but for sure needs gone over. I try to be spot on. The cosmetics are nice, not mint, not showroom but very nice, no cracks, no damage. The knobs have some typical wear, the dial face has some typical wear… I do not see the model number, but think it is a 53-596 from my searches. The back is good, cord good. I wiped down, but needs q-tip cleaned. Final sale, as found, needs a tune up. Please see all pictures and use zoom feature. Often the pictures describe the item better than words.
