Vintage Bendix 526C Green Swirl Catalin Tube Radio for Parts or Restoration. Because sometimes it takes a bit to get it going. Theres a crack on front. Left side has a part cracked off as well. The green color is not as brilliant as it should be(Looks brownish with spots). Some one that knows how too clean and polish Bakelite may be able to bring back the bright green color. Vintage Bendix 526C Green Swirl Catalin Tube Radio. Here we have a vintage Bendix 526C Catalin radio. It has been electronically restored and works well. It features beautiful swirled green with veins of yellow and solid black Catalin. It measures 11 1/8″ wide x 6 3/4″ deep x 7 1/8 tall. The case has no cracks or breaks. Beautiful RESTORED vintage Bendix 526C. Amazing green swirl and black catalin case. I restored this radio a few years ago and I’m thinning my radio herd a bit. I’m not aware of any cracks or damage to the case: the photographs are taken in diffuse sunlight in my living room. Pros: – Case has been disassembled and components individually polished to a high gloss. Could use a little dusting. Chassis is electrically restored with new electrolytic and yellow polyester caps, resistors checked and replaced as necessary. No rust, tubes are tested good for a long continued life. Original Bendix molded cord is flexible and safe. The Radio tunes stations and plays well with good volume. Cons: – Knobs are not original but are fabricated from vintage green catalin with metal set screw hubs. Cardboard back is missing. One original screw-on foot is missing. Threaded hole in bottom of case is not damaged. Please feel free to ask any questions. Will be packed correctly. Unless other arrangements are requested. This radio is over 70 years old and it is in very nice condition. There are no cracks or chips in the cabinet. It does play but not very well. With the volume turned up I got it to play 5 different stations. It may need an antenna connected for better reception. The knobs are original and in excellent condition. Absolutely beautiful vintage Bendix 526C. Great green and brown marbling. The radio looks to be in great condition. I see no chips or cracks.
