Here is a pretty nice 1938 Zenith 5-R-312 tube radio which lights up and works. One of the two knobs was missing and I replaced it with one that doesn’t look that great. You may want to get a better one. This radio displays well and has had an easy life on the shelf for several years. Zenith Model 5-R-312 “Beehive” tube radio that is a good candidate for restoration. The radio has already been partially restored with some caps in place, but unfortunately, the radio only receives static when turned on. All of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester, so it may not need much more to get it going. The body is in poor shape, with a large crack on the top right and on the bottom left, both of which have been glued back together. Despite the damage, this could still be a good shelf piece, as it presents well. Both knobs are missing and one push button is also missing. The dial turns properly and the power cord is in excellent condition. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
