The product is a vintage 1940′s tube radio by Crosley, made in the United States. It is a Crosley American Overseas 56TC model that is in working condition. This collectible radio is a rare piece from the 1940s, showcasing the classic design and functionality of tube radios from that era.

Cord looks to need to be replaced so sell as is for parts repairs. Look at the pictures as a reference and ask any questions thanks.

I have no knowledge of this item other than google image, please note that the title may or may not be accurate. I dont know if it works or not due to the condition of the power cord, I do not want to plug it in. This has not been cleaned, I dont want to ruin anything that I have no knowledge about. Model: Majestic 5A430-R Mighty Monarch of the Air. Cabinet: Classic wood tabletop design with horizontal grille louvers and a waterfall-style top edge. Tuning: Clear slide-rule dial with functional backlight and original brown control knobs. Antenna: Equipped with an internal directional antenna. Dimensions: Approximately 11 inches wide, 7 inches tall, and 7 inches deep. Identification: Includes original rear backing board with model stamping and the metal serial plate (D 434732). Functionality: This radio has been bench tested and is in working condition. It powers on and the dial lights up successfully. Reception: Able to tune into two stations during testing. Signal clarity may vary based on your geographic location and local interference. Audio: At certain volume levels, a standard vintage hum is audible. However, once a station was dialed in, the hum was no longer present. Exterior: The wood cabinet shows character-appropriate wear for its age, including some scuffing and finish loss on the edges as seen in the photos.

Please note that this is 100% untested and has yet to be plugged in after sitting safely in climate controlled storage for many years – Ensuring you have the opportunity to safely bring the capacitors & tubes on a Variac to help preserve their integrity. Overall in amazing shape for its age with next to no markings or scratches on the unit. The only imperfection on the unit is in the front where a slight crack was repaired at some point in its life. The camera makes the contrast appear more visible than it does in person in regards to this blemish. A beautiful piece of history that is ready for a new loving home.
