THE ENTIRE RADIO WAS RESTORED IN 2004. AT THAT TIME, THE FELLOW DOING THE RESTORING PUT SOME LITE SPEAKER GLUE OVER ALL THE AREAS WHERE THE ORIGINAL GLUE HAD BEEN APPLIED. PHILCO TUBE RADIO PART FOR SALE. TESTED AND FOUND TO BE WORKING…. THE RESTORED 116X CHASSIS. THIS CHASSIS WAS RESTORED IN 2004 WITH OVER 30 NEW CAPACITORS, A NEW LINE CORD, AND A NEW VOLUME CONTROL. HERE’S A COUPLE OF THINGS I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH: FIRST… I STILL HEAR SOME LINE NOISE WITH THE STATION SIGNAL. THE RESTORER DID SOMETHING FUNKY TO HOLD THE STATION GRAPHIC ONTO THE SHAFT. IT LOOKS AS IF HE USED SOME DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. SEE THE LAST GALLERY PHOTO. THERE MAY BE A FEW THINGS TO WORK ON…. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A WORKING CHASSIS. CONDITION: WORKING CHASSIS WITH A FEW ISSUES.
