I obtained about 80 tube radios from an estate sale. I will be listing these over the next few weeks so please see my other listings. This listing is for a VERY RARE Jewel Radio Corp. Brand out of Long Island City NY. Brown bakelite with cream, gold, and blue front. The original back cover is still with the radio. All original knobs are still there and not missing. The dial cover has no cracks or chips. The grill is in good shape with no cracks or chips. The cord should be replace as it has one worn spot. The radio has not been plugged in/tested due to this. The radio sits nice and flat with no wobble. One of the back corners has a chip as seen in pictures. These radios are highly collectable and are getting harder to find online. It was part of an large radio collection. The radio did power on and the backlit dial light worked. I did not hear any static or sound so my guess is that it needs some minor TLC. It is missing one tube so that may be the problem. I did not check/test the tubes either, nor was it hooked up to an external antenna. The wood cabinet is nice and solid and the original finish looks really nice. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. I believe that this is 100% original except, perhaps, the AC power cord. The radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. It was part of an ENORMOUS radio collection. The AC power cord is old & brittle so I did not attempt to power the radio on. The walnut wood cabinet is nice and solid and the original finish looks beautiful. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. The tuning dial seems to be working as it should. I believe that this is 100% original. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Offering a very rare. This is a dynamic mic manufactured in the 1940′s by. Sporting a solid brass body, original brass yoke, brass thumb screws and brass threaded mic mount. The brass is in overall awesome condition and it has the original 3 pin connector on the back side. I do not have the connector cable so could not test it. The front brass wind screen has no dents of damage and the Melodynamic badge is nice and clear. Frankly I have not seen one of these mics ever look this good, considering it’s nearly 80 years of age. The interior is so clean, only a light layer of dust is on the chassis/tubes. It looks to have never been opened up. Fantastic RCA vintage lighted store display sign. This sign looks as if it was never used. The graphics are in excellent condition on the glass front. The metal frame is in great condition also. It is made to take a flourescent style bulb. The sign measures 33.5″ long X 6″ high X 6.5 deep. I have taken photos all around and with it lit up so you can see how nice it is.
