Nice Vintage 1940's Stewart Warner 51t56 Tube Wood Am Radio Restored Works Great

The model number on this stunning looking radio is 51T56 & I believe it was produced in the 1948 era. This was a nice radio when it was introduced in 1940′s & still is by today’s standards. The cabinet on this beauty is made of Maple I believe & was refinished by a previous owner. The finish on the cabinet looks great as I hope my pictures will show. This is a nice looking radio that just POPS OUT AT YOU. I that I have taken many pictures & all pictures can be supersized so you may get a good view at this spectacular looking & working radio. The reversed painted glass slide rule dial scale is in good condition but it does has some wear. The 2 brown bakelite plastic control knobs are in great condition. The original paper label on the bottom of the cabinet is in good condition. The back panel is original & in good condition that holds on tight & secure PROVIDED you handle the radio correctly & DO NOT Grab it by the back panel. The chassis is in great condition & it is an all American 5-tube unit with 2-controls & both controls have been lubricated & are in great working condition. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & wax/paper capacitors were replaced as needed & a nice electric cord has been installed. This radio has been restored to great working condition. This Radio would make an excellent addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it’s power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter. Sized of this gem is 12-1/4″ long, 7″ wide & 8-1/2 high. This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology “unlike modern day solid state radios” can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV’S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires above your home, etc… So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are directional meaning you “may” have to turn the radio one way or the other to receive the best reception. Tube radios take 30 to 45 seconds “for tubes” to warm up before they will start playing. I package very well for a safe arrival. If you have any questions please ask & I will promptly answer & as best as I can. Please ask questions before the end of the sale & not after. Thanks for looking I appreciate it.
