Rare 1930s Emerson Wood Body Radio. BL-214 Body with a BF-266 Chassis and added tone control. This is a factory built, undocumented model. There were only a very limited amount of these made. If you do a search you’ll see there are a few others that. Are primarily in the hands of serious collectors at this point. This is a completely ORIGINAL, unrestored and working unit. It powers up and the dial light works. All control knobs work. It has a louder hum (probably needs a new tube). I managed to tune a few stations so it does work. Case has the original gold emerson logo, beautiful striped wood design. And classic deco dial. Broadcast band and shortwave. There is no back panel. The condition is VERY NICE. There are a few light scratches on the top, some chipping to the finish on the bottom. It is a great candidate for restoration, probably one of the finest originals you’ll find.
