This listing is for a Vintage Sentinel 284-1 Art Deco Tube Radio. There are no cracks or chips to the Bakelite case, the knobs and tuning dial work, but one is cracked in half. The back is intact. The chassis looks good. The original power is in good shape. It has been tested and works great. It takes 15 seconds for the tubes to warm up, but once they are warm, it sounds great. Please see the photos for additional details and overall condition.

Plugged in and it slowly gets a very load hum. No further testing done. No cracks, but common scuffs and marks… Not sure if knobs are original? One back cover it is marked ” Civilian Defense “. No other testing done. As-is, as found, final sale. Please see all pictures and use zoom feature. Often the pictures describe the item better than words. Offering a 1945 Sentinel Wavy Grill 284- NI Catalin Radio in a Butterscotch marbled color. The case is in nice condition with no chips or cracks. The radio powers on and the dials all work smoothly however I didnt get a station. The cord has been replaced at one point. The dial shows paint loss and could be restored or replaced. The mesh material appears to be original with some fraying. I have just cleaned the outer case as it was dirty. Overall it could use a through cleaning. A nice radio to add to your collection.
