RESTORED Viking vintage tube radio by Eatons Electrohome late 1940′s plays well

This is a gorgeous radio to look at. The distinctive wooden cabinet has rounded swept back corners and is made from striking walnut veneers. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the big sound is clear and crisp with no hum. It is electrically sound. This radio was originally a battery radio, but a fairly expensive battery eliminator has been added to it and it now uses a regular household wall plug. The battery eliminator could be removed and used as an outside portable power supply on any other “farm battery” radio. Grill is barred and has the original cloth and it contains a big oval speaker. The wooden knobs are original and in good shape – the tuner works very smoothly. The Measurements are: across 17″ height 10″, and width 10. This radio will give years of good service. Every radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.

Fantastic Retro Vintage Kriesler 11-71 Ivory & Gold Valve Tube Radio Late 1950′s. Beautifully styled combined with tremendous concentrated power of the mighty Kriesler 11-71A. One of Kriesler’s finest series to have come into the market. The 11 fully sealed series powered through from humble beginnings with the 11-4 Kriesler Fully Sealed Beehive in 1946 all the way into the early 80′s, all of this series was fully sealed for safety and designed to be shockproof and tamperproof housed in fantastic cabinets that had class! The Kriesler 11-71Awas released in 1958 in the fully sealed series offered by Kriesler and took Australia by storm, with its fine detail ivory cabinet contrasted by gold highlights combined with its performance, which is stronger and richer than ever before. This was the deluxe version featuring on/off tone control, volume control, tuning and a pick-up on the back. This radio is in fantastic condition with only a tight 7cm heat mark on the top from the valves which has been stabilised and could not even be shown in the photos it also has had a 1cm hairline fracture repaired behind the “K” badge. Its magnificent Ivory cabinet has been cleaned and meticulously polished back to reveal its exceptional finish and. Drake T-4XC Vintage Tube Ham Radio Transmitter w/ Manual LATE SN 26273. This transmitter is in fantastic condition. Costmetically, it’s probably the nicest we’ve seen, at least on the outside. The cabinet doesn’t have a scratch on it and the faceplate is just as nice. The chassis does show a little age, but it’s still better than most. The sale also includes the original user manual and interconnect cables. The rig operates just as well as it looks. We got about 100 watts out, which is about what you would expect. Overall, this is one of the nicest T-4XC units available on the market today! Combine this with the late serial number I think they went up to 30,000? , and you have a collector quality transmitter. Lastly, just to be clear, I want to point out that the AC-4 power supply is not included. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. This EMERSON 587A is the more classy and appealing model of the 587 line due to the nifty woven grille compared to the later production 587B with the metal version. The material of the casing was a new plastic of the era known as Plaskon, this one in Black/Ebony (some models were also in White/Ivory). Suitable for Restoration, Rejuvenation or Essential Parts. Please look at all the pictures (actual, not stock) part of the description and judge for yourself the potential for restoring/rejuvenating to the almost original appearance and function of this cute version of the bygone era’All American Five’ radios. The casing is intact without cracks, missing portions or other blemishes which can be a discouraging restoration issue with an inferior outcome Note that the Flash photos enhance tremendously almost 70 years of dust and dust specs. No moldy/musty damp basement odor. The chassis, the critical and model specific major components on/off switch-volume pot, variable capacitor and front knob tuning mechanism /speaker/IF cans, output transformer etc. The tubes /valves have been checked with a calibrated Eico 667 and found to be strong, without shorts or inter-electrode leakage and good longevity (not immortality). It goes without saying that the electrolytic and paper capacitors must be replaced appropriately and a safe power cord attached. For potential international buyers, nominal voltage 115 V AC 50-60 cycles or theoretically DC! Briefly powered up (with 30 Watts incandescent light bulb for safety) :as expected after almost seven decades, background hum, tuning to strong stations, working volume control!
