The “Debonair” is an obscure clock radio known for its 1950′s TV-style appearance and unique design. It is in unrestored condition with a working clock. The radio will need some work. When tested the radio hummed and now makes not noise. The on/off knob is atop the black with gold trim Polystyrene case. The clock radio turns on/off by twisting the plastic bezel covering the clock. The clock radio is extremely clean, with no cracks in the plastic case. The clock keeps perfect time. The radio when turned on has a loud hum. All the tubes light up, which makes me believe that the resistors need replaced. Superheterodyne (common); ZF/IF 455 kHz; 2 AF stage(s). Power type and voltage. It does intact work, I was able to find a couple of channels. The tube diagram is underneath the radio and is in good condition. Underneath the plastic clock cover, there is some dirt/dust on the bottom of the clock face. The dial indicator seems to be in very nice condition. This clock will need to be cleaned from all dust in dirt in the little crevices. Please see photos for consideration and condition.

Radio works and was serviced. Two new capacitors and power supply circuit. Both clock and Radio work. It looks like someone has painted the front white.

Offered for your consideration is this great little restored Telechron 5 tube clock radio – Model 8H59, built in 1948 The condition of this clock radio is very good. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the clock and timer are in good working order – the Electron clock movement was disassembled and lubricated. The clock escutcheon shows a bit of wear. The wine case colour is a vinyl high end scratch resistant automotive product. The sound is clear and crisp with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and all of the old paper wax the capacitors have been replaced. The cord has been replaced with a polarized plug. It features a stylized Bakelite cabinet; an escutcheon on the clock ; the clock and timer are also run on a Telechron movement; the tuning control works smoothly and the back, loop antenna and all knobs are original. The measurements are just: 10″ x 6″ x 4.5 The radio will continue to give years of good service. Every radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.

Motorola Tube Radio Clock model 5C15BW Telechron Clock. Vintage 1950′s/1960′s MCM Mid Century Modern Blue White. Radio and clock work!
