The model is a 15HF1 and was made in the USA. This is a unit that was originally in an Admiral Console. The radio is used and does have some wear from previous use and old age. I was not able to fully test the radio, but when I plug it in, it seems that all the tubes light up and glow. The radio is very clean including the chrome. There is almost no rust and cosmetically is in excellent condition! Check out the photos for a more detailed view of the items condition, the photos are also a part of the item description. Vintage Zenith Model 8-S-154 radio chassis, that is perfect for a restoration project. The sound is strong and crisp. Chassis is very clean and free of rust and corrosion. The dial mechanism is not working, as the rubber pulley is missing. The dial glass is in great condition, but detached from the dial itself. It will be wrapped and placed in a separate box, within the main package. Power cord is spliced and should be replaced. Four chassis bolts- 2 original are included. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.

Vintage 1956 Zenith Trans Oceanic Wave Magnet Tube Radio Chassis Model 6A40. 17″ x 8″ x 11, 19lbs. The Zenith Trans-Oceanic Wave Magnet Radio Receiver Chassis 6A40 is a vintage tube radio. It was produced from 1941 to 1982. The Trans-Oceanic series of shortwave portables were so popular that they earned the nickname “The Royalty of Radios”. Tube models were produced until 1963. I have not attempted to plug this one in but I have added a few detailed photos of the interior. For display or restoration projects only. Use as is – or repair & replace. This is a salvaged, previously used, untested item. Please see the photos & description for more details. For its age, it is in very good vintage condition. Cosmetically, it’s not too bad. The case has some scuffing but is still quite stable. The handle & hinge are in good shape. The front knobs are missing, and there is a break in the plastic hinge where the map and instructions compartment is. For more details, please refer to the photos and description.
