This 1947 BENDIX 526A radio has a full and Bakelite case, front, back and all around. The radio is 10 1/2″ long, 6 1/2″ deep and 6 1/2 high – original knobs, orig label on the base – a very nice example. The radio has a crack in the plastic type dial, still there and usable but it has a crack. The radio has a good cord and hums loudly when plugged in – probably a tube but should be serviced. A handsome set with totally rounded ends and curved in every direction.

This Art deco radio from Bendix Aviation Corporation is a gorgeous piece of history. The brown bakelite exterior exudes a sense of nostalgia, while the radio’s functionality remains intact. With the ability to tune into your favorite stations and enjoy quality sound, this Bendix model 111 is a must-have for any collector. It was manufactured in the United States between 1930-49 and has not been modified. Vintage radio Bendix aviation corporation model 111 – brown bakelite Works! This is an awesome radio in working condition. Please review the pictures for cosmetic condition. The paint on the inside of the dial face looks like it has peeled a little. I have not attempted to clean the radio at all so as not to accidentally damage it. But otherwise very clean & great condition.
