This transceiver is dusty/dirty, as you can probably see in the photos. It’s missing a knob, but looks complete otherwise. All controls appear to be turning relatively smoothly. It has the 404-284-1 and 4042-83 filters installed. Also, the rubber pulley-strings have dried up, as is common when these have sat as long as this one has. This’ll make a great restoration piece or parts unit! This equipment came from the estate of a serious ham operator and audiophile, and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We’ve made the decision to sell this older equipment 100% as-is and untested. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Bags filled with a chemical mixture expand around your item and harden to form a protective, yet forgiving, foam barrier. IMPORTANT : You will only receive what is photographed. If it is not shown in the photos, it is not included in the sale. This includes items such as original packaging, accessories, manuals, and so on. Speaking of manuals, it is strongly recommended that you thoroughly read it before attempting to operate the equipment. If a manual is not included in this sale, you should download one. We’re here to help! We will not declare a lower value on the item’s documentation.
