This is a beautiful piece of vintage Eico ham gear. The only cosmetic blemish I can see are some small chips in the cabinet’s black paint. From what I can tell, it’s all original (paint, components, etc) and unmodified. We removed the tubes for use in another project, sorry. Other than that, it’s being shown just as we found it. This equipment came from the estate of a ham operator and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We’ve made the decision to sell these old “boat anchors” 100% as-is and untested. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service after sitting this long. Further, it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
