This radio looks and plays great. I replaced the multi-section filter capacitors. Tuned the IF transformers and tested/replaced tubes as necessary (2). Also de-oxidized the volume and tone controls. It is a 6 tube octal radio. That means one more stage of RF gain over the usual “All American Five”. Sensitivity is great and lots of volume. This is pretty as it is, but there are some surface marks on top. The decorative wrap around band is in perfect condition. Refinish the cabinet and you will have close to a 10. The only fault is the back cover is weak where it has been bent. Important to note is that the knobs are original, the dial face is clear, with the gaskets intact. The lower bezel is also there and it is usually missing from these. All in all it is a great specimen.
