This radio came from some nice folks who bought a house and found this radio in the attic, along with some other Yaesu items in their packaging. It looks like someone packed up their ham station, put it up in the attic and simply forgot about it. Who knows how long ago this happened. The box has “new” written on it, but it’s clearly not new. The faceplate looks great and still have the protective film on it, but the cabinet has some small scuffs and scratches on it. Nothing serious, but it’s clearly been out of the box at some point. All controls feel good. The accessory box contains both an AC and DC power cable, some small microphone adapters, and a jumper plug. No microphone was included in the box. This unit is believed to have not been used in many years, likely decades, and with this in mind we have made no attempt to power-on this unit or test in any way. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
