This is a nice looking HT-40. The faceplate looks great and the cabinet has minimal wear. Pretty much all of the cosmetic issues are on the rear near the base, where there is some paint beginning to chip away from the cabinet (see photos). This unit is believed to have not been used in many years, likely decades, and with this in mind we have made no attempt to power-on this unit or test in any way. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or have access to someone who can, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
