I just completed the restoration of this beautiful little 1939 Philco model 40-115C tube radio. The cabinet is stunning with the various colored wood colors and grains flowing throughout its design. The radio is a compact 12.5″ long x 7.5″ tall x 6 deep. I have installed a new AC power cord, new dial cover, new dial lamp, new grill cloth, and new filter and paper capacitors, The remaining components were cleaned, adjusted, lubed, tested, and replaced if needed. The original knobs were polished and resealed. The dial face on the radio and the speaker are in excellent condition. The volume level is strong and the voice/tone is very clear. You will need to attach a few feet of wire to the radio antenna pick tail in the rear of the radio for proper reception and performance. This will vary based on your location and signal strength. The radio plays great and looks wonderful. A very nice collecting piece or great for that display in your home or office! Thank you for looking today!
