Vintage “STROMBERG-CARLSON” Model #AWP-8 TRANSOCEANIC SHORTWAVE TUBE RADIO. Run Mouse Cursor over smaller Pictures to enlarge them… The Radio looks to still be in very good, used condition with some light surface wear while the letter “C”, on the front “STROMBERG-CARLSON” logo, is partially missing. I plugged it in but I couldn’t really get it to do anything. I could get some static sound when I rotated the “On/Off” dial. The Dial, that moves the Stations, is not working while it looks like the Thermometer & Barometer still work. The Radio is approx. 9 1/2″ x 11 3/4″ x 17 3/4 in size while the Antennae is intact but does get stuck and needs a little help to pop out sometimes.
