Just completed the cabinet and electronic restoration yesterday on this wonderful looking detrola table top radio. This fine piece is the model “429″ and was made in the year 1941. The radio is 12″ long x 6.5″ tall x 6 deep. It has its own built in antenna and receives very well. There is a new ac power cord, new grill cloth, new dial lamp, new filter and paper capacitors. The tubes and remaining components were tested and replaced if needed. The speaker has a strong and clear projection. The dial face is excellent and there is a new dial cover. The knobs have been polished and resealed. I haven’t many of these fella’s around so take a good look at it !
