Up for your consideration is an icon of 1930′s design – 1934 atwater kent model 206 3 bands (bc and 2 sw) vintage is not not “run of a mill” radio, but truly collectible item and has been restored to the present condition as such. The cabinet of the radio retains completely original finish which is superb for the 81 years old radio. There are few inevitable small dents and scratches seen in the photos provided. The radio received the dial lens and pointer replacement. The wooden knobs are original as well. The grill cloth is correct new replacement. The speaker is in the perfect shape. The power cord is new period replacement as well as the new plug. The chassis has been completely restored – every brittle or hardened wire has been replaced with an attempt to retain correct color scheme. The entire capacitors compliment has been replaced and re stuffed to maintain original appearance underneath the chassis as well. All other parts in the need of replacement have been replaced. After that the radio was aligned. With a simple antenna attached it operates exceptionally well on all 3 bands. There are 2 tuning knobs with a high and low tuning speed. The band switch and the volume control operate smooth, without any scratching. The radio will be packed with extreme care. Please refer to the photos and do ask all necessary questions.
