Vintage zenith tombstone radio model 6-s-27. Please closely read the description, don’t just look at the pictures. The “antique radio guide” says this is a 1935 6-s-27 zenith. The radio does power up with working dial light. I have taken a picture of the underside of the chassis to show what work has been done on it. There still needs to be something else because the reception is an issue. Right now if you use the “finger antenna” method the radio brings in local stations nice and strong. Someone has added a strange coil hoping to help but did not connect it to the antenna or something. This is not something i know anything about. All knobs are the original wooden “z” or lightning knobs which are in good shape. The dial knob works but may need a new belt to help it turn better. The case is solid and has been sort of refinished – the grill cloth is original. Nothing was done to fix the dark scratches on the sides. It measures about 22 1/2″ tall, 12 1/2″ deep, 16 1/2 wide. There were only two of the original chassis bolts so i added two to secure better. It weighs about 32 lbs. See how close you are to interstate 90 as thats how we’ll be traveling. Anything is possible just ask. This is too nice a radio to just double box the whole thing, wrap it in bubble wrap and away it goes. Work with me on this so it can get to you in the condition its in now. More packages more cost. Also as i noted its a heavy old radio.. This should be a treasured radio for someones collection.
