(hard to take good photos due to all the reflected objects)this is an antique / vintage circa 1937 art deco sparton 558 “sled” radio.. it is, as can be seen in pretty good condition with some wear to the paint on the swirl pattern and a small blemish in the mirror above the dial… It has the blue glass front and side mirrors with the chrome vent side.. Plating in good condition… No cracks in the mirrors… The top is black wood which i have never seen before so i assume its was a mirror as well prior (top also has a metal edge)… One knob has lost its chrome metal trim insert ring(see photos)… The chassis and interior look complete, it does light up, but i was not able to tune any channels in… Cord is worn , but works… Overall it looks great as is or would be a good candidate to restore or for parts…The item “ANTIQUE Vintage Art Deco Blue Mirror Sparton 558 Sled Radio Tube Radio” is in sale since Sunday, January 25, 2015.
